Kinetic Grasp eats at eager enemies’ damage, feeding his shields to make him even stronger, and the Experimental Barrier is a portable shield that allies can shoot out of. His ultimate is also great for dealing with clusters of enemies, pulling them into the air to then slam them down, creating an opportunity for an immobilized att

Once you let me combo my Earthshatter with somebody else’s ult, or give me a Zarya who bubbles me as I charge headfirst into a massive mech, I’ll be happy. Each new hero was a major event, hyped up with months of speculation as players tried to guess who was coming our way next by digging into the game’s files or drawing from small clues left behind by Jeff Kaplan and friends. Sombra, Doomfist, Orisa, Ashe, Ana, Moira, and Brigitte were all big deals, igniting imagination across the fandom with how their relationships intertwined with the existing roster and how their position in the narrative would come to play an important role.

Losing a tank opened the door for major, much needed reworks to a lot of heroes. Tanks like Reinhardt and Orisa now have more utility and survivability since they have to tank for the entire team, while shield breakers like Bastion get to take a step back and fill a different role. I’m not suggesting that every character is perfectly balanced now, but I see so many improvements already. It’s hard not to be excited about the new Overwatch meta. The focus this time will be on all-new PvE missions, in addition to some new stages , heroes, and spruced-up visu

I booted up Overwatch for the first time in a few months last night and it wasn’t awful. I mean, it was frustrating, but I had at least one team who genuinely cared about the objective and we won two matches in a row. For what it’s worth, I only really play Competitive or seasonal co-op events — Quick Play and Arcade aren’t for

Armed with two hearts and dual machine guns, Mauga seems like a great pick, but his health is on the lighter side, and any attempts to defend himself when alone, see him quickly taken care of by enemies. Mauga is still a good pick, but he exists in a spot of normalcy after his release, in which Blizzard was probably scared of having Mauga be a tank-like Bastion. After all, they already have Or

A champion of old, Reinhardt may still be great, but his powers haven’t exactly changed in recent years. Reinhardt is a fairly competent choice under the right circumstances, as his Barrier Field allows him to walk with a capable shield that can protect his whole team as he attempts to push the point and defend areas. Yet, it’s easy to get behind, and his damage capabilities aren’t stellar for competitive pl

But what are the best tanks to dominate and protect one’s team in this wild looter shooter? Following the latest release of Hazard , Overwatch 2 has a whopping 13 tanks to choose from. Each of them brings unique styles of play, and a necessity for situational awareness to counter opponents, protect one’s team, and come out on the other side to claim vict

If you’re not intimately familiar with Overwatch 2 Events, it might be hard to tell Overwatch 2 is even a different game. It has a few new characters and some new maps, a new game mode called Push, plus some subtle character redesigns, but it’s largely the same game it’s always been. His Minefield ultimate also traps the enemy field with explosive mines, making him a true burden for the enemy team who will have to focus on what’s ahead, whilst also looking out for Wrecking Ball, who is always flank

So many people are focusing on what the story might be, or how a campaign might look based on the tidbits of lore we’ve garnered from short films and comics. I’d like to learn more about Reinhardt, sure, but that’s not what Overwatch 2 needs to be. It needs a refined combat loop that offers you the same thrills of Competitive play, but in co-op

I’ve got my Transcendence ready to go, meaning that when Genji pulls his Dragonblade, I can protect my entire team by moving alongside him and nullifying all of the damage he’s trying to dish out. I used to be pretty good at Overwatch back when I played more regularly, so I’m patiently waiting for a specific sign — that telling dash up into the air to give him a clear view of the targets below him. «Ryūjin no ken wo kur
